Aerosols of phosphorous and phosphoric acids were extracted from air using a paper filter with a pore size of 0.2 #mu#m and determined by ion chromatography and capillary isotachophoresys. The recovery was higher than 96%. Phosphorous acid is oxidized by air to phosphoric acid. The fraction of oxidized H_3PO_3 increases upon decreasing its concentration and comes to 20% at the concentration 0.2 #mu#m~3. Ion chromatography and capillary isotachophoresys are compared in their main analytical characteristics.
