摘要

The wing markings of Delias nais and D. zebra are reviewed. As a result, D. zebra is notregarded as a separate taxon, and the populations are regarded as an endemic phenotype of D. nais. Delias nais Jordan, 1911 is widely distributed in montane mainland New Guinea. This species is known to exhibit local variations, and eight namedscribed, viz. rubrina van Eecke, 1915, aegle Joicey & Talbot,1925, denigrata Joicey & Talbot, 1926, entima Jordan, 1930,maprikensis Yagishita, 1993 and odilae Gotts & Ginn,2004.treated subspecies keysseri, enthima and rubrina as synonymsthe result that five named taxa are recognized at present. They taxa have so far been de-1922, keysseri Rothschild,holophaea Roepke, 1955, However, Parsons (1999)of the nominate race, withare characterized by having a chocolate-brown ground color on the underside of the hindwing in both sexes.
