摘要

The genus Xerula is summarized for temperate east Asia, including Japan and adjacent Russia. Subgenera Xerula, Albotomentosae and Radicatae are represented by 12 taxa, including 9 species and 3 varieties. Names commonly used in the past (i.e. X. radicata, X. pudens, X. longipes) do not represent taxa in Asia. The following taxa are proposed as new to science: Xerula aureocystidiata, X. chiangmaiae, X. globospora, X. orientalis, X. sinopudens, X. vinocontusa, X. amygdaliformis var. bispora and X. orientalis var. margaritella. Xerula chiangmaiae var. raphanipes is a new status and new combination. Leading characters of the genus are discussed and a key to Asian taxa, including some extralimital taxa, is furnished.
