Previously, an experiment for an oxidation-ditch process was performed with a plant where the treated quantity of sewage water was at least 10 m~3/d. It is difficult to miniaturize the plant because the rotor has been used as an aerator. One of the authors (Nakasone) developed a new aerator using falling water and proposed the application of an oxidation -ditch process applying it This is a method which creates falling water by means of a pump It is easy to get a small pump, therefore, the miniaturizing of the experimental equipment is possible Since it is difficult to apply the scaling law to the wastewater treatment process, treatment plants are always prototypes even though the experimental equipment is small. It is easy to make experiments under various conditions if it is possible to perform experiments with small equipment. Therefore, the authors constructed small equipment and investigated the treatment ability of one. At the same time, we investigated the application possibility of a kinetic model, which was used for a large wastewater treatment plant, to this small experimental equipment.
