摘要

Canine cutaneous lupus erythematosus is recognised in a variety of different forms. The most common chronic form of the disease is the classical facial dominant form, discoid lupus erythematosus. In addition, other chronic variants that have been described include mucocutaneous lupus erythematosus, generalised cutaneous lupus erythematosus and exfoliative cutaneous lupus erythematosus. The only subacute form of the disease recognised to date is vesicular cutaneous lupus erythematosus. This article describes the clinical presentation and breed predilections of each of these diseases, together with the most common diagnostic signs and therapy.
