A4-month-old female entire Staffordshire Bull Terrier was presented for acute onset of unilateral pelvic limb lameness. It was reported by the owner that the puppy had become peracutely lame after jumping off a chair. On physical examination, the puppy was non-weight-bearing on its left pelvic limb and had a palpable, painful, localised swelling over the tibial tuberosity. The puppy was otherwise clinically normal. Mediolateral and caudocranial radiographs were taken of the affected limb (Figures 1 and 2).
