Estimation of shock-compressed region by analysis of propagation of shock wave and rarefaction wave

摘要

In order to estimate a region shock-compressed by aflyer plate impact technique, Hugoniot parameters and velocity ofrarefaction wave were evaluated on the basis of the Rankine-Hugoniot equations, the equation of state of Mie-Gruneisen andadiabatic condition, and the analysis on propagation behaviors ofshock wave and rarefaction wave was performed for the shock treat-ment of NiTi in a recoverry assembly. The region compressed by theshock wave is limited by the propagation of rarefaction wave whichis introduced from the side of specimen, even on impact of a thinflyer plate, and the conical region with about 45 in basal angle iscompressed up to the shock pressure on impact. It proved that notonly the shock wave but also the rarefaction wave is important for ashock treatment.
