摘要

Two new original titanium alloys have beendeveloped to expand the titanium market for various uses.First, ? type titanium alloy, which is suitable for cold processing,Ti-20V-4Al-1Sn which has excellent low cold flow stress in thesolution-treated condition in comparison with the other ? typetitanium alloy such as ?C and Ti-15V-3Cr-3Sn-3Al has beendeveloped by optimizing V, Al and Sn contents. This alloy has highstrength and ductility after aging treatment.Secondly, in order to improve the wear resistance of titanium, awear resistant carbide dispersed titanium alloy has been developedusing the composing method by in-situ crystallized particles inPTA hard facing process or ordinary VAR melting process. Thisnew alloy which consist of fine crystallized titanium carbideparticles and the tough ?Ti matrix shows wear resistanceequivalent to Stellite NO.6, and possesses excellent hot-workability and sufficient mechanical properties. So, this alloy hasbeen applied to the structural use.
