A test method is described for use in developing operation support systems that overcomes the problem of debugging the input devices by using a barcode reader and a two-dimensional symbol reader. The method uses two unique functions for debugging. One captures the signals received from and sent to the input devices. The other captures the data input from and output to the mouse and, keyboard. These signals and data are automatically tested. Application of this method should reduce the time it takes to develop operation support systems.
