摘要

Tomato (Solarium lycopersicum) is one of the economically important cash crops in Afghanistan (Rahman et al, 2005 and Bhattacharyya et al" 2007). Tomato production is about 138,000 t in 2012 followed by onion (100,000 t) in Afghanistan (MAIL, 2013). In Afghanistan, tomato is consumed as fresh or processed as paste, ketchup and juice or sometimes as sun-dried tomatoes mainly for home consumption (Rahman et al., 2005 and Bhattacharyya et al, 2007).
