摘要

In order to develop a decentralized energy production system with low environmental impacts, we constructed a methane fermentation system for agricultural biomass with photovoltaic solar cells as a subsidiary operating energy resource. The experimental run of this system showed that almost all the energy required for running it could be supplied by solar energy from photovoltaic cells through a year. In this paper, a simulation model was examined on the energy consumption for running the reactor and the generated energy by photovoltaic cells. As the result, the simulated value obtained from the model gave good agreement with the measured value of the experiment, and the model proved to be useful for practical use.
