MEW has developed a central monitoring system for a rural sewage processing plant that supports a remote control site. The system is based on MEW PLCs, and MEW's OFENS for Windows software was used for program development. This article describesthe system, which includes a still-image transmission unit and a 50bps, 3.4kHz modem unit newly developed for use on NTT leased lines.
