摘要

In this paper, we propose a lightpath configuration method with generalized MPLS (GMPLS) for optical add/drop multiplexer (OADM) in WDM networks. With the proposed method, lightpaths are established according to the congestion state of node buffer and are released when no packet is in the buffer after the holding time of the lightpaths. We evaluate the performance of this method for WDM ring networks by queueing analysis and simulation. Numerical examples show how the traffic volume affects the packet loss probability.
