This article is very interesting as the authors provided the evidence that sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) for grass pollen is able to increase sublingual Foxp3-expressing cells and allergen-specific IgG4 and IgA production [1]. This elegant study, moreover, underlines the SLIT ability to modulate local Treg function and allergen-specific immunoglobulin production pattern. On the other hand, it is well known that Durham's group is performing several studies that successfully tried to clarify the mechanism of action of allergen-specific immunotherapy.
