The p-value as the result of a statistical test is a universally used concept in medical research. For example, going through the 66 original articles of Contact Dermatitis in 2010, we found 44 articles [66% (95% confidence interval (CI) 55-78%)] that explicitly report at least one p-value or refer to the result of a statistical test.
