Westlake Chemical has filed with the SEC for a proposed sale of 5.5 million shares,an 8.5% stake in the company,by its controlling stockholder,the Chao family.The offering will be made through underwriters led by J.P.Morgan,Credit Suisse,and Deutsche Bank Securities.Trusts controlled by the Chao family will grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to 825,000 shares to cover over-allotments,if any.
