Energy-Transfer Properties of a [2.2]Paracyclophane-Based Through-Space Dimer

摘要

Over the past three decades, much attention has been paid to conjugated oligomers and polymers because of their intriguing optoelectronic properties derived from their delocalized p-electrons along the conjugated polymer backbone. They are highly promising candidates for next-generation materials, because they possess the general advantages of organic polymers, such as film-forming properties, pro-cessability, and light weights in addition to light-emitting properties, liquid crystallinity, and conductivity. Almost all the conjugated polymers synthesized to date are through-bond-type conjugated polymers comprising sp and/ or sp~2 carbon frameworks. Through-space-type conjugated polymers, in which p-electron systems are stacked in close proximity in a single-polymer chain, have rarely been reported in spite of the importance of such p-stacked structures in optoelectronic devices.
