Nowadays, to increase efficiency of pepper breeding activity it is very important to replenish its initial material available in the Republic with new genotypes. Thereby during 2010-2012 chilli pepper accessions PP0837-7612, PP0837-7631, PP0837-7799, PP0836-6509, PP0836-6517, PP0837-7613 and sweet pepper accessions PP0436-6006, PP0437-7031, PP0537-7032, PP0737-7016, PP0042-68 from the AVRDC-WVC collection were observed in detail, evaluated and grouped by the duration of phenophases, qualitative indicators, productivity data, disease resistance and profitability. The experiment was set up according to block randomization method. The results of the observations showed that the chilli pepper accessions can be used by breeders as initial material to create cultivars with high qualitative properties. Accessions PP0042-68, PP0437-7031 and PP0837-7612 can be used as donors of early ripening. At the same time PP0837-7612 can be used for high level of vitamin C, sugar and dry matter content. For high adaptability and economically valuable characteristics sweet pepper accession PP0737-7016 named 'Loshtak' and hot pepper accession PP0836-6517 named 'Artsiv' were submitted to the state accession trial.
