The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has proposed the continued registration of the herbicide, glyphosate, with additional measures to reduce risks to human health and the environment. The re-evaluation was conducted in co-operation with the US EPA and included the surfactants, polyethoxylated tallow amines (POEA), and the metabolite and transformation product, aminomethylphosphonic acid. Glyphosate is a non-selective herbicide for the post-emergence control of a wide spectrum of weeds, including annual and perennial broadleaf and grass weeds, trees and brush.
