Dow AgroSciences and the US plant biotechnology company, Arcadia BioSciences (Davis, California), have agreed to co-operate on the development and commercialisation of genetically modified maize lines. The collaboration will involve Arcadia’s abiotic stress traits and Dow’s enabling technology platforms, input traits, regulatory capabilities and commercial channels, the partners point out. Certain development costs will be co-funded and the commercial value of resulting traits in maize will be shared by Dow and Arcadia.
