摘要

One of the main reasons for Malagasy species' disappearance is the fragmentation of specific habitat due to anthropiza-tion (16). In addition to the human impact, global climate change models predict that Madagascar's climate will experience an increased intensity and frequency of abnormal drought and/or precipitation, as well as cyclone and storm occurrence throughout the year (3, 20). Currently, the wetter conditions in Madagascar, and thus resource availabilities were globally shown to coincide with El Nino phenomenon. More precisely, there is a strong negative correlation between vegetation density indexes and El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO).
