On the recommendation of the Petroleum Council, the Minister of Energy and Water, Mr. Silvan Shalom, has approved changes to the limits of the Karish and Tanin gas fields, the gas subsidiaries of Delek Group, Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration, announced on 20 November. The two fields have also been declared gas discoveries. The Managing Director of the Antitrust Authority, Mr. David Gilo, has now decided that Noble Energy and its partners do not constitute a “cartel” and is thus going to authorize them to develop the Leviathan field.
