South Korea's largest refiner, SK Innova- tion, posted strong results for the three months ended Sep. 30, thanks partly to the $2.4 billion sale of its Brazilian unit to Maersk last December (IOD Dec.27'10). Net profit soared by more than 500% year- on-year to 1.82 trillion won ($1.65 billion), while operating profit leapt to 861.9 billion won because of higher product prices, strong petrochemicals spreads and a good performance by its lubricants unit.
