Norway's Statoil and Thailand's PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for further cooperation in new projects. Last November, PTTEP took a 40% stake in Statoil's Kai Kos Deseh (KKD) Canadian oil sands project in northeastern Alberta (IOD Jan.28,p10). Statoil said the MOU builds on this partnership.
