Turkmenistan-focused exploration company Dragon Oil has made progress in its exploration program in the Turkmen offshore sector of the Caspian, announcing that its Dzheitune (Lam) 13/140 sidetrack well yielded initial test results of 2,123 b/d of oil. The results mark a successful start to the 2012 Cheleken drilling program. The Chekelen contract area in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea is the company’s main producing asset.
