Total's hopes of delivering a 2.5% rise in oil and gas output this year are under threat from a perfect storm of production problems in the UK, Yemen and Nigeria, the company warned Friday. Output in the first quarter was stable compared with the same period in 2011 at an average 2.372 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. For 2012 as a whole, production "could be flat," Chief Financial Officer Patrick de la Chevardiere said during a conference call with analysts, due to the mix of upstream difficulties the company is facing.
