Saudi Aramco will start work on its new 300,000 barrel per day crude increment in the coming quarter, industry sources tell International Oil Daily. The state oil giant should release the details of the $2 billion-$3 billion Khurais upgrade, which involves boosting the field's output from 1.2 million b/d to 1.5 million b/d. The expectation is that Aramco will invite companies to show interest in the front-end engineering and design (Feed) contract as soon as a month from now, say the sources.
