Production from the lucrative Trebs and Titov oil fields in the north of Russia is to start on Aug. 1 by Bashneft-Polyus, a joint venture between Russian private Lukoil and Bashneft, sources say, despite uncertainties over the asset's future. Officially, the output will be considered part of a test mode, but insiders say the launch means actual production has started at the fields.
