Cameroon will get a compressed natural gas (CNG) plant, if plans announced on Friday by UK-listed producer Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) are fulfilled. VOG said it had "entered into discussions with strategic and financial partners with a view to develop an operating CNG business in Douala in early 2015" but did not indicate the plant's likely size. A spokesman, however, said the unit would not be for exports, but rather to supply local industrial customers.
