BG has received $350 million from the Egyptian government, reducing the amount owed from its Egypt operations to around $1.2 billion, the UK firm said on Monday. The payment follows the announcement late last week by Egypt's oil ministry that it had paid $1.5 billion of its debt a day after negotiating a 10 billion Egyptian pound ($1.4 billion) loan from the National Bank of Egypt.
