Thailand's government has delayed the application deadline for its latest upstream licensing round by a month to Mar. 16 to allow for a public debate on the issue later this week, according to the local Bangkok Post. The delay is reminiscent of an earlier attempted bid round in 2012 that was shelved due to public opposition (IOD Jul.27'12). The nation's last successful licensing round was held in 2008 when 24 concessions were awarded covering 28 blocks.
