Exxon Mobil remains committed to its Russian projects and is still interested in building an LNG plant together with its long-term partner, state-run Rosneft, despite sanctions that limit Western investment in Russia and the US firm's tax disagreements with Moscow. The economics of building the 5 million ton per year LNG plant look attractive, said Wayne Warwick, president of Exxon Neftegas Ltd., an Exxon Mobil subsidiary that operates the Sakhalin-1 oil and gas project.
