Statoil is moving ahead with two development projects offshore Norway despite ongoing restructuring at the company, the Brent crude oil prices hanging below $65 per barrel and high costs on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The firm said on Tuesday it awarded a 7 billion kroner ($886 million) contract to engineering firm Samsung Heavy Industries for development at the Johan Sverdrup oil field in the North Sea.
