China's apparent oil products consumption rose 4.7% year-on-year to 65.78 million tons in the first quarter of 2015, driven by a 10.5% jump in gasoline consumption while diesel consumption slipped by just 0.1%. Oil products stocks were 750,000 tons higher during the first quarter than last year, a record high level, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) (IOD Apr.27'15).

Uruguay is a net exporter of primary products and a net importer of oil.
