Oil futures posted strong gains on Wednesday as momentum appeared to be growing for an international agreement to freeze production at current levels. Crude also drew support from a rising stock market. Opec members Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Qatar--now joined by Kuwait--as well as non-Opec producer Russia say they are willing to hold output steady at current levels rather than continue to increase production.
