摘要

Japan's Inpex and Royal Dutch Shell have decided to shrink their workforces in Indonesia due to delays in reaching a final investment decision (FID) for their Abadi LNG project, according to Indonesian upstream regulator SKK Migas. The agency says FID now looks like being pushed back until at least the end of 2020. SKK Migas chief Amien Sunaryadi said Abadi operator Inpex plans to downsize its local workforce by 40%, and that partner Shell has asked its engineers to seek other jobs. The regulator said uncertainties over the Indonesian government's position on the development concept for Abadi LNG will mean a further delay in FID.
