Husky Energy is drilling the QH29-2-1 shallow water exploration well near the producing Wenchang oil fields offshore China - as well as planning for wildcat drilling in three more blocks. The company said the jackup drilling rig Frontier Discoverer is pushing ahead with QH 29- 2-1. The well will test a prospect on Block 39/05 in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, immediately southwest of the Wenchang fields, owned by Husky and state-owned CNOOC Ltd.
