E.On Ruhrgas is assessing bids that it has received in a tender for a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel for its Huntington development project in the UK North Sea, said partner Premier Oil. The FPSO bids were received in December and are currently being evaluated, along with tiebacks to infrastructure in the vicinity. Sevan Marine is believed to be at the head of the list for the development, offering its Sevan Voyageur unit for the project. The rig is currently being used to tap the UK North Sea Shelley field, in which Premier is also a partner. It is expected that the development concept will be selected imminently, with project sanction occurring before the end of this year. It is anticipated that Premier will hold the dominant equity position in the field.
