Indonesia has awarded 14 oil and gas blocks to a mix of foreign and domestic operators, according to Edy Hermantoro, the upstream director of the country’s Energy Ministry. Among the winners were partners Talisman of Canada and Thailand’s state-owned PTTEP, who won three blocks in the Makassar Strait (South Mandar, Sadang Strait and South Sageri). On its own PTTEP won the Malunda Block, also in the Makassar Strait.
