BG Group plans to spend US $300m in Tunisia this year to develop its production assets in the country, according to local reports. BG is the operator of an exploration permit off- shore Sfax in southern Tunisia. Domestic news- paper TAP reported that Sami Iskander, executive VP of BG, Africa, Middle East and Asia had met Prime Minister Beji Caid Sebsi to discuss the plan.
