France’s Total plans to drill eight exploration wells in Uganda by the end of 2013 at a cost of around US $650m. Total entered Uganda’s oi l and gas sector earl ier this year when it and China’s state player CNOOC each took a third of Tullow Oil’s exploration assets in the country for a total price of $2.9 Bn.
