Total production in Brazil’s pre-salt plays from the Santos and Campos basins has hit 300,000 b/d of oil, says state-owned Petrobras. From this figure, which was achieved on 20 February, 249,000 b/d came from Petrobras and with other 51,000 b/d came from other operators. This new high is just seven years after the region’s first pre-salt oil discovery, and comes from 17 wells; six in the Santos Basin and 11 in the Campos Basin, Petrobras said.
