THE EUROPEAN Council for Plasticisers and Intermediates(ECPI)has slammed a recent study which said that there is a 'highly significant relationship between human exposure to phthalates and adverse changes in the genitals of baby boys'.The ECPI claims that scientific experts have said that the study,which received a wide amount of media coverage,'must be treated with a high degree of scepticism and caution and that the alarmist media reports that have followed the announcement are extremely misleading.'
