LSB Industries Inc., Oklahoma City, said April 3 that it is adding three new board members to its 10-member board, including two former Terra Industries Inc. executives. In recent months, activist shareholders have called on LSB to add new independent directors with fertilizer and climate control experience to the board. LSB said it will nominate Daniel Greenwell and William Murdy for election at the 2014 shareholders meeting, which is expected to be held prior to June 20, 2014. In addition, Richard Sanders Jr. will be appointed to the board, effective the date of the annual meeting, to fill a vacancy in the class of directors expiring in 2015. Greenwell's and Murdy's terms will expire in 2017, Sanders's in 2015. Incumbent directors Donald Munson and Ronald Perry will not stand for re-election in 2014, and John Shelley, whose term expires in 2015, will retire from the board as of the 2014 meeting.
