Thailand's largest hot rolled coil producer; Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI), almost doubled year-on-year tales in the recently completed third quarter; a result facilitated by the government's anti-dumping measures and import surcharges. SSI told 505,409 tonnes of hot rolled coil during the third quarter of the year reporting a net profit of 1.5bn baht (34.4 million dollars) on tales turnover of 6.5bn bath. This compares with a 3.1bn baht turnover during the tame period last year, while in the second quarter this year the company reported tales of 492,365 tonnes on turnover of 5.5bn baht.
