Kuala Lumpur-A Malaysian partnership has completed the design, construction and start-up of a pilot plant to produce polyhy-droxyalkanoate (PHA) biodegradable plastics from palm oil, local sources said. The partnership includes Malaysia's industrial research organization SIMM Bnd, the Sains Malaysia and Putra Malaysia Universities and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
