Kuantan-Polyplastics Co. Ltd. has made a decision to expand polyoxy-methylene (POM) production capacity at its Kuantan plant in Malaysia. The 90,000-t/y expansion will increase Polyplastics' POM capacity in Malaysia to 120,000 t/y and its global capacity to 290,000 t/y. Polyplastics also has POM production facilities in Fuji, Japan; Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and Nan-tong, China.
