Jubail—Linde Group has signed a long-term contract for the on-site supply of carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen and ammonia to Sadara Chemical Co.'s petrochemical complex being built in Jubail, Saudi Arabia (PCN, 20 Feb 2012, p 1). Under the contract, Linde will invest a total of $380-million to build a two-stream HyCO facility for the production of CO and hydrogen, plus a single-stream ammonia plant and large ammonia storage tank. The production units, for which capacities were not disclosed, are due for completion in 2015.
