Hanoi-Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) is considering the sale of its interest in the proposed petrochemical complex on Long Son Island in southern Vietnam's Ba Ria Vung Tau province. Vinachem, holding over 11% of the $4.5-billion project, plans to sell the interest to its Thai partners, but noted that non-Thai partners are also interested. PetroVietnam, Thai Plastics and Chemicals, Siam Cement and Qatar Petroleum International are the other stakeholders in the Long Son complex.
