Houston-Ascend Performance Materials Operations LLC has selected the UOP C3 Oleflex process technology for what UOP referred to as "the world's largest on-purpose propylene production facility," to be located on the U.S. Gulf Coast (PCN, 4 Mar 2013, p 2). Earlier this year, Ascend confirmed to PCN that it was evaluating the viability of building a propane dehydro-genation facility in Texas, but declined to provide any details.
